Girls Softball

2019 Registration: January 15th through February 25th

March 2019 Update: Due to low registration numbers, all registered Softball Girls have been transferred to the Lee's Summit Program for the 2019 Season. 

Greenwood Parks and Recreation Softball program is open to girls in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Wooden Bat League is open to girls who are High School Freshman/Sophomores. 

The cost to play is $105 for T-Ball, $125 for Softball, $140 for Wooden Bat League. Registration includes a shirt, visor or hat, basic photo package. Trophies will be given to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners at the end-of-the-year tournament. Additionally, (pending volunteers) players MAY be invited to participate in MLB's Pitch Hit and Run competition in Greenwood and a free morning skills clinic. Practices are scheduled to begin on April 1st. Games will begin on April 22nd and end Mid-July.

  • Coach-Pitch Softball program is open to girls in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade at the time of registration. (T-Ball is available for children who have reached the age of 4, or for those who are currently enrolled in Kindergarten and still prefer to play another year of T-Ball.)

  • 3rd/4th Grade Softball program is open to girls in 2nd Grade through 4th Grade at the time of registration. (It is highly recommended that the child play at the grade appropriate level, however, if a child is advanced, a parent/guardian may sign up a current 2nd grader for this age group.)

  • 5th/6th Grade Softball program is open to girls in 4th Grade through 6th Grade at the time of registration. (It is highly recommended that the child play at the grade appropriate level, however, if a child is advanced, a parent/guardian may sign up a current 4th grader for this age group.)

  • 7th/8th Grade Softball program is open to girls in 6th Grade through 8th Grade at the time of registration. (It is highly recommended that the child play at the grade appropriate level, however, if a child is advanced, a parent/guardian may sign up a current 6th grader for this age group.)
  • We will also offer a Wooden Bat League for High School Freshman/Sophomores. In the event of low registration numbers, we may combine teams, or make other adjustments or refunds as deemed necessary to this new program for 2019. Details will be available at the Mandatory Coaches Meeting March 23rd.
